Why are there so few questions to answer?

As pioneered by direct motor insurers some years ago, our “Statement of Fact” now replaces the old style, long-winded proposal form that asked reams of unnecessary questions.

This Statement of Fact makes assumptions about you and your business, which the insurers use to class you as a “standard policyholder”. It is, therefore, important that you take a few minutes to check the statement, especially if you are taking out cover.

What if I can’t comply fully with the Statement of Fact?

You can still obtain a premium indication, but you won’t be able to obtain immediate cover. Details of why you can’t fully comply can be given on the “Confirm Details” page at the end of the quote process. We will then contact the insurers on your behalf and try to obtain a competitive quotation for you.

Is the policy cover cut back to keep the premium down?

Definitely not – our policy is very comprehensive with many “optional extras” that other insurers charge for, automatically included as standard. Look at what you get.

Can I print my policy documents immediately?

Yes – full policy documentation can be printed immediately.

The system will automatically produce the full Annual Schedule.

What about premium payment and collection?

Credit Card

We accept all major credit/debit cards for payment. Card payments are collected by Worldpay.

Direct Debit

We can also arrange a Direct Debit instalment plan via GoCardless

Example deposit payment and DD instalment plan

Annual Premium: £600.00
Deposit: £120.00
Balance: £480.00
Plus interest at 10.00% (8.70% APR): £48.00
Total amount financed: £528.00
9 monthly installments of: £58.67

How do I cancel my policy?

Your policy document will detail your rights to cancel your insurance once you have taken it out. Depending on the type of policy you have purchased, you may be entitled to cancel within 14 days of either conclusion of the contract or receiving your policy documentation, whichever occurs later and receive a full refund provided no claim has been made. Otherwise, where you cancel a policy before renewal you may be responsible for paying a charge to meet the cost of cover provided and administration expenses, which means that you may not receive a proportionate refund depending upon the terms of the particular policy. To enable your insurer to process the cancellation, you will need to return certificates and any official documents to insurers within 30 days of your notice to cancel.

What can I do if I’m not sure my business will fit your scheme?

Contact us on 03333 202021 and we can view the quote on-line together to see if we can agree on a premium.

Alternatively, email us at help@instantbusinessinsurance.co.uk

There is also a facility on the “Confirm Details” page of the quote process to explain any reasons why you cannot comply fully with the ‘Statement of Fact’.

Finally, don’t be shy of simply picking up the phone and speaking to us – if we can’t help we probably know someone who can!
